World Championships of Performing Arts
Lama Smith is the Regional Executive Director under the jurisdiction of World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), the official “Olympics” for aspiring performing artists based in Hollywood California. Lama’s responsibilities include licensing and training Talent Scouts and Coordinators in the Caribbean and other countries, auditioning talent competitions and judging showcases. She executes business plans each year with her coordinators based in different countries. Lama’s success with the World Championships of Performing Arts is based on her professionalism in promoting the positive mission of WCOPA, and her organizational capabilities and networking expertise in dealing with agents and managers in Hollywood and New York.
Lama has worked extensively with organizations in the Caribbean, the United States and other countries organizing performing artists for showcases, and judges from Hollywood and New York for showcases, seminars and workshops in the Caribbean and other parts of the world. She is an International agent with New York Film Academy in New York City. She has done events in Jamaica and in Trinidad and Tobago. A former teacher, a registered nurse, and is working on a degree to become a business attorney. She holds degrees in Organized Communication and Performing Arts. She is a partner with “Divine Light Enterprises LLC” a company that manages develops artists and publishes books. She is energetic, compassionate, warm, kind, articulate, knows how to work positively with people. She is focused and is dedicated to any assignment she assumes.
She works with all ages in screening talents nationally and internationally. In addition, she is a pageant judge and judge for the preliminary Miss America Pageant System, Miss America Coed, Cities of America and Miss United States, Miss Florida Home Town USA, Miss Liberia, among others and owns Pageant Consulting Business
On a trip to Trinidad & Tobago Ms. Smith and her team had lunch with the President of Trinidad and Tobago. She is always featured in the press and has done television and radio interviews.
Lama manages a large team that is strictly under her jurisdiction, and is able to do so with such professionalism, that all members of her team deem it a prestige and an honor to work with her. We are also very privileged at WCOPA to have such a creative, gracious and dynamic leader who is able to multi task very well.
